Life Behind the Camera (Episode 1)

 

*Plays some kind of intro TV theme song*

“Hi guys! Or girls. Actually probably girls. My name is Bailey and you may be thinking ‘who is she?’ Well I’m better known by my characters names, Novia from Camp Summer and After Camp or Jasmine from Worst Enemy, Best Friend. That is the point of this series, to show the blogging community what the Americangirlguide clan is like, off set. Because we are really just a bunch of sisters who are slightly insane. This intro is getting long and I’m just rambling which isn’t like me. Anyway, so let me start.”

“So Mom said I needed to give a quick tour of the bedroom because a lot had changed since the last time we showed you a doll house tour. She said to mention it was in a post linked here. She likes to add lots of links. Anyway, this is the left half of our very small room which is the more studious side. It has our desk and book shelf.

On this side we have Brook’s flute and music stand along with our beds. By our I mean Brooklyn’s, Jessica’s, and mine. Bethany and Nikki have their own room which we’ll show later. In the back of our room you can see our three dogs, Sugar, Pepper, and Rolf. My mom likes dogs so she made sure that we have some.

“Bailey what are you doing?” asks Jessica.

“Oh wow, you are super out of focus Jessica. I’m shooting the first part of Mom’s new series.”

“Why didn’t you tell me? I mean I am the star,” Jessica demands.

“SHHH. They don’t know about that series yet!” Bailey replies.

“So basically I’m a nobody to them?”Jessica questions.

“No, you are John, Ryan, and Ms. Madison to them.”

“Two of those are boys. I’m so excited to finally have a major role as a girl. And my name is really pretty too,” Jessica said.

“Don’t give them anymore spoilers Jessica!”

“Ok, fine. Do you know where Nikki is? I want to show her my new clothes,” Jessica announces.

“WHAT? You went shopping?? You hate shopping and malls and fashion. Why on earth did you go shopping?”

“Can’t I try something new? Besides this new series gave me an excuse to buy some more clothes. Keegan’s wardrobe is cute but it needs more pieces,” Jessica said carelessly.

“You just gave out her name!”

“Who’s name? Ohhhh, you mean Keegan. Ahem. I mean that person. Well you can just edit that out right?” Jessica said.

“No I can’t. Now stop giving spoilers!”

“Hi there! It’s Bethany now! They’ve switched cameras so that Jessica doesn’t give out anymore spoilers. So I’m supposed to show you my room.”

“We have our wardrobe in the right corner, our desk in the middle, and our bunk beds pushed up against the left side of the room. Sorry about the mess. I just got home from dance class and haven’t had time to clean it up.”

“BROOKLYN! Why is there a DOG on my bed?! You know I can’t stand dog hair!” Bethany said suddenly.

“Well,” Brooklyn started.

“Hey, Nikki, look at these cute clothes I got,” Jessica interrupted.

“Oh, cute! Next time you should bring me Jessica,” Nikki said, “By the way, I think Bethany is having a slight over reaction above me so you may want to get out of her way!”

“BROOK. WHY WOULD YOU BRING A DOG IN MY BED?? I need to do my homework but I can’t when SOMEONE brings a DOG which has DOG HAIR on my bed,” said Bethany, hyperventilating.

“BETHANY, THE DOG IS HYPOALLERGENIC!” Brooklyn screamed back.

*slow motion*

“WHAAA,” said Brooklyn.

“What just happened?” someone yelled as they all ran over.

“She’s unconscious! We need to take her to the hospital,” someone else said.

DUN-DUH-DUH.

And that ends episode 1 of Life Behind the Camera.

Okay, so, I may have created a new series. I know a few posts ago I said I wasn’t enjoying writing doll posts as much but then I wrote this and I REALLY liked it. So, I think I’m just going to write both kinds of posts for now. I’m still figuring it all out.

Also, I’m having trouble figuring out how to write this since the whole post is dialogue. Was it clear who was speaking? I’d love to hear your suggestions in the comments 🙂 Let me know what you think of the new series and if you would like to see the other series I spilled some spoilers for.

Finale Part Two (After Camp)

Aisha’s POV

Here I was, my special spot. I always use it to think. Why had I been so rude to Novia? She was just trying to help. I began to realize why as I let my thoughts drift,

Back to the day my mom died and my dad handed me over to social services.

When I was just a little girl who just wanted someone to love her.

When I was told I would be going to camp and when I met Novia and the pranks she played.

I remember becoming friends and moving here. I recalled bowling on Friday nights and never, ever, being able to get a strike and family day every Sunday, where I slaughter everyone in Monopoly.

I started sobbing. It was hard thinking about all the good and bad that had happened. All these great memories would become that and no more. Novia probably hated me. As soon as I got back to the house the social worker would be there to pick me up and I would leave this behind. After sitting for a few more minutes, I decided it was time to face it. I climbed up the hill to the house, I’d better start packing.

*Woof, Woof*

“I’m sorry about this, I just thought we were ready to handle her. I guess we aren’t ready for this extra responsibility,” I overheard my foster mom say.

They were talking about me. Frantically, I entered the room.

“WAIT, WAIT, what?” all of a sudden I was confused, instead of a social worker, it was Principal Fletcher, in workout clothes, holding a dog leash.

“Oh, Aisha! I’m sorry I forgot to mention, that I’m giving up on Pepper. It is a lot of extra stress to train a puppy, especially this one. ”

“So this isn’t about what happened at school? And you’re not sending me back?”

“Oh, that is where I come in. I’m sorry that we have not had more time to talk about the situation at school. It was brought to my attention that you were being bullied and I learned that it was a joke put on by some rude girls. I’m sorry I blamed you,” Principal Fletcher said.

“Oh, that isn’t a big deal! As long as the social worker isn’t coming,” I replied.

“She is, but only because we want to pursue adopting you!!”

“Really? Thank you! Is it okay if I run over and talk to Novia? I need to talk to her.”

“Sure, just be back by 1:15, so we can work out the details,” Eileen replied.

I couldn’t believe it! I was getting adopted, by people who loved me and cared about me. I ran over to Novia’s house and top speed.

“Novia!!” I exclaimed, “I’m so sorry, I couldn’t bear losing you so I overreacted and was mean. Will you ever forgive me?”

“Oh Aisha, I knew you would come back! Of course I will!” Novia said.

I felt so relieved to have my friend back!

“Novia, Aisha, come here! I need to tell you something,” Mr. Scott yelled.

“I told you I would make a decision about whether or not we would be staying here or if we would move. That would affect you as well Aisha so I’m glad you are here for this, “He began.

“I know you just moved here Aisha and that you and Novia are amazing friends. Jake, Novia, I know you’ve lived here your whole life. I also know that your futures will be greatly impacted by this move, if I accept. With that being said, I still think there are a lot of benefits involved with the move and that’s why I have decided to accept the position. We will be moving as soon as school’s out.”

“Cool dad! I will miss this place though,” Jake said.

“Girls, any thoughts,” Mr. Scott asked.

I said in a shaky voice, “I love Novia, she is my best friend, but you are her father and you know what is good for her. Just because I’m selfish and want her to stay here with me, doesn’t mean I should keep her from such a great opportunity. So Mr. Scott, I support you decision.”

“Oh, Aisha, how did I ever not like you? You are the greatest friend ever. Don’t forget that.”

“We have a long road ahead, Novia, and a full life to live, but trust me, I’ll never forget you,” I claimed.

“Me neither,” Novia promised.

YES! I finally posted this! What did you think of the ending? I have two endings and I’m writing this outro before I even write the post.  So even I will be somewhat surprised 🙂 I hope you liked it! Let me know what you think by commenting. It’s a cliffhanger… MWHAHAHA!!!

By the way, I already have a plot forming in my mind for the next part of the story, but who knows if I’ll get to do it. Bye for now!

Operation Alamo (After Camp Finale Part 1)

Aisha’s POV

“Can I go to Novia’s?” I asked.

“Sure, just be back for lunch at noon,” Eileen replied.

“Ok, see ya,” and with that I ran out the door.

As soon as I was out of sight I slowed down my pace. Novia would probably still be sleeping anyway. I was so stressed. I couldn’t handle the fact that I might need to leave this place were I felt secure and happy. The past few days I’d been being rude to everyone. What was wrong with me?

Novia’s POV

“NOVIEEEE,” Jake yelled.

“UGH! Jake I’m trying to sleep. Just because you like to run ten miles before the sun comes up doesn’t mean I have to wake up that early!” I moaned.

“Someone is here to see you. Guess whoo?”

“I can come back, uh, sorry.” Aisha started.

“She’ll be awake soon enough, probably by June.” Jake said jokingly.

I groaned again for good measure and made my way down the stairs.

Twenty minutes later after a big breakfast of pancakes and orange juice I was wide awake.

Aisha and I climbed the stairs to my room for a talk.

“Explain your plan, now,” Aisha pleaded.

Now came the hard part. Operation Alamo wasn’t risky or exciting and I didn’t think Aisha would like it. It was our only option. “Ash, you may not like this but my idea is to talk to them and explain our ideas, concerns, and issues.”

She paused, “Talk to them?? Do you really think that would work. Novia! I trusted you to have a good plan. We have my whole life riding on this. I can’t let an opportunity slip away. Adults don’t listen! My dad never listened, anyway,” and then she angrily stormed out.

Duh-dun-duh!! I can’t believe this series is almost over. It went by so quickly. What a super long title for a pretty short post 😉 I know this part of the finale is short, but it would have been super long as one part AND I can’t give the ending away, now can I?

(Episode 5 of After Camp)

“I have been offered the new position! It would mean we might need to transfer to San Francisco in a few months.” my dad announced.

“WHAT?! You said no, right?” I exclaimed.

“I haven’t given them an answer yet. I will need to before our meeting Tuesday. I think it will be good for us to have a change.”

“But Daddy,” I pouted, “I like it here just fine! This is my home.-” After that, I rushed off.

Jake tried to stop me, but I wiggled out of his grasp and ran to my room.

Aisha’s POV

“Aisha, I’m sorry to have to call you back, but we have something very important to discuss,” Principal Fletcher said.

“I received this note, ” she explained.

“It is an anonymous note from one of our students telling me that you have been fighting and threatening them,” she continued, “I’m not saying I believe them, but I still have to tell your social worker. I hope that we can resolve this and that you didn’t do this Aisha.”

I walked into the door after talking with the principal. How could someone do this? I tried to hold back the tears, but soon my eyes became blurry and the tears escaped. Wait, I heard voices. It was Eileen and Paul.

“I don’t know, Paul. I’m not feeling so confident that she is improving. I’d never thought she’d be so naughty,” Eileen said.

“We have to give them an answer. Do you think it’s working out or do you think we need to send her back?”

 They couldn’t do this to me. This was the only place I’d ever felt at home, but what could I do about it?

*Novia and Aisha are on the phone*

“Aisha! I have horrible news. My dad has been offered the new position! We have about a week to decide,” Novia said hurriedly.

“Oh-no. I have a problem, too. Someone, Britney I think, slipped a note under Ms. Fletcher’s door. It was about me and how I’ve been hurting her and threatening her. Now, it is on my record and I overheard my foster parents talking. I think they are going to send me away,” I sobbed.

“Aisha, listen closely, we only have one more option. Execute Operation Alamo!” Novia said.

Wow, this series is almost over! I decided that the next part will be the finale, but it will be split up into two parts. So I’ll keep torturing you until almost the end of February! This coming weekend I’m going on a retreat so I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to post. It depends on if I have time 😉

Groundhogs or Gophers ~An AGPS~

Jessica’s POV

My brain is. unicorns… Yup, this is me Jessica (the one in the cute pink shirt) when I’m attempting to wake up in the morning. Until I drink about two cups of water, I can’t function and my brain is basically full of unicorns. And candy. Lots and lots of candy. 

*This is my sister Bailey, she is the brainiac of the family and also gets crazy bed head*

“Good morning everybody,” Bailey said yawning, “Does anybody know what day it is today?”

All of a sudden, my newest sister Brooklyn, ran into the room shouting, “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!” We all stood there in silence until my Twin said,

“It Febuary 2nd….. Valentine’s day is two weeks away. Today is just an average Tuesday.”

“Incorrect!” I said, “It’s actually, drum roll please, Groundhog day!”

“Oh, I knew that!”

I inetrrputed her, “Groundhog Day is something we do on Febuary 2nd. The folklore is that if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, then spring will come early. If it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter weather will continue for another month and a half.” Info via

“Wow, that’s cool Jessica, but if you keep blabbing we are going to be late.”

“At school they decided we needed to do the whole traditional groundhog ceremony.”

Isn’t he adorable? He really liked all the attention he got. He ended up seeing his shadow so… I guess we have six more weeks of winter.

When All Else Fails(Episode 4 of After Camp)

Novia’s POV

*I changed the principal from a boy to a girl, sorry if that’s confusing*

“Hello girls,” said a calm cool voice.

“Hi, Principle Fletcher,” we all chorused.

My best friend Aisha and I had just been called into the principal’s office, along with our archenemies, Britney and Leia. I used to be best friends with them, but that’s a different story.

I tried to tune back in to Ms. Fletcher, “Girls, we won’t have any cat fights going on at this school. We need you to settle this little dispute. If I hear of any more bad behavior from any of you, I’ll be considering suspension.”

I shot Aisha a quick glance. If she got suspended she wouldn’t be able to stay here! The foster system would send her somewhere else. This wasn’t good.

“Sorry Principal,” Britney said sweetly.

“We can work things out. I’m very sorry,” I exclaimed.

Still in Novia’s POV

Click. Click. “Done! I finished another application paper.” Jake announced.

We were going through Jake’s old school files. He was weird and kept every single file and school paper he had ever completed! Instead of getting free college from Dad’s work Jake would just get enough scholarships so dad won’t have to change jobs.

“LOOK! You have got an F?”

“That won’t help the applications Jake,” Novia said concerned.

“It’s fine. It was a long time ago. Do you think Ryan is almost done with his assignment for our plan?” Jake questioned.

Ryan’s POV

“Mom, Dad, can I talk to you about something?” I asked.

“Sure son, what is this about?” Dad responded.

“Well I was just wondering, about Aisha.”

Novia’s POV

“Kids, we need to talk.” My father said, “I’ve gotten news back from my boss and…..”

Initial Plan (Episode 2 Of After Camp)

Aisha’s POV

Novia and I sat around a table in the cafeteria eating lunch and discussing our plans.

I got up to throw out my trash. Next thing I know I’m sprawled on the floor and I hear laughter in the background.

I collected myself and tried to pick up my dignity. “It’s no big deal, right?” I thought.

I made it back to our table and heard someone say to Novia, “Do you want to come sit with us?”

“Sure,” she said.

I walked over to join them. But then the head of the mean girls said, “What are you doing? Your not invited to join us.”

“Uh, I was joining my friend Novia. Sorry.” I replied.

The rest of the day went by slowly. All I could think about was those girls. Yes, Novia had then refused them and come back to sit with me but why didn’t the girls like me in the first place? I was jerked out of my stupor by a message over the PA system, “Aisha Mceely, please make your way to the principles office.”

I blushed bright red and stood up to make my way to the office.

“Aisha come sit down,” said Principal Fletcher.

“Hi Principal Fletcher. Um, why did you want to see me?”

“I was just wondering what you thought of the school and wanted to see how you were doing,” he replied.

I wondered whether or not to tell him about what happened at lunch but decided not to. I didn’t want any drama. “Everything is going great,” I fibbed.

“I’m so glad you’re enjoying our school. Your grades are improving from last year as well. Congratulations! I love to see my students succeeding.”

After that I got up and left, but there was still a sinking feeling in my stomach.

Novia’s POV

“Ok, after we tell them about our crushes, we will move on to school issues,” Aisha said.

We were planing out our first test. “I think its pretty solid, but, what if they don’t pass the test?” I asked.

“I’m almost positive they will,” Aisha said confidently.

“And if they don’t?” I asked still not sure.

“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. I have to go now! Bye.”

Tomorrow we would begin our top-secret plans! I was in the middle of changing into my PJs when my phone started bleeping.

Up popped a message from one of my old friends. It said:

Hi. You stink and nobody likes you. Especially if you keep hanging around that foster girl. If you still want to be apart of our group you’ll do exactly what I say.

Why were my old friends being so mean all of a sudden? What was wrong with my BFF, Aisha? I began to sob, just then I heard feet on the stairs. I wiped away the tears right before Jake knocked.

“Novie, dad said to come down stairs he needs to talk to us!” Jake announced.

I opened the door and followed him down the stairs and into the kitchen.

Dad cleared his throat, “Novia, Jacob, there is something I want to talk to you about. I know that I’ve been gone a lot recently and I didn’t want to tell you until I was almost certain, but I think I may be getting a promotion soon!”

“I’m not sure what all that would entail, but it would have a lot of good benefits for college. It will mean more hours that I’m away, but it will be worth it for the two of you. It may require a bit of sacrifice and most likely means we will be moving.”

Brooklyn’s POV

“Wait up, Pepper!” I called.

I huffed and puffed across the large yard.

I wasn’t ready to go inside yet, so sat down outside the house.

Would this new family like me?

Bethany’s POV

We were all gathered, baking ginger bread houses and wrapping presents for my mom.

“I’ll be back, I’m going out for some fresh air.” I announced.

It was so beautiful outside, but I was really hoping for snow.

(does anyone else really want snow;)

What was that? I saw a small grey, furry dot and a hand sticking out from behind the lone tree in our yard.

I walked closer and saw a girl with wavy, dark hair and freckles. Next to her was a cute husky puppy.

“Uh, Hi!” I said.

She looked startled, “Oh, Hi. Sorry. I should probably have come inside.”

“That’s okay. This might sound rude, but who are you?” I asked.

“My name is Brooklyn and I’m coming to stay with you for a while,” Brooklyn said.

“It’s nice to meet you! Would you like to come in and meet my sisters?”

“Sure,”she said reluctantly.

Brooklyn’s POV

“Guys! Hey I want to introduce you to someone very special, ” Bethany announced, “This is Brooklyn.“

“Hi,” I said,”As Bethany told you my name is Brooklyn and your mom is having me stay with you for a little while.”

“Awesome!” a girl with short brown hair said.

A girl with curly red hair introduced herself, “It’s nice to meet you. I’m Bailey and I’m fourteen.”

“I am too,” I managed to mumble.

“Brooklyn plays the flute and she has a dog named Pepper!” Bethany filled in for me.

“Hey! could you play a few songs for us?” Asked a freckled-faced girl.

“Sure, lemme go get my flute!” I chimed.

I took a deep breath and began to play my all time favorite tunes, Let it Go, Amazing Grace, and Roar. They were all amazed (apparently no one is musically talented in this family)

After I played for a bit, the girls went back to baking and I joined them. Pepper seemed to be enjoying Sugar’s company and I was having a blast. Maybe I would grow to like it here……

YES. I GOT A NEW DOLL! (you can see I’m super excited) She is #55 and Beautiful. Shout out to my friend Shanti! This was her doll, but she isn’t really into dolls and so she gave her to me:D She also gave me a bunch of clothes and accessories. Look for a review coming soon! That’s it for today.

Days Until Christmas: 10

Welcome December!

Hey everyone! If you’ve been around my blog for a while you may remember this segment last Christmas season! The girls like to do a count down to Christmas and want to share it with you. The new tag for this year’s is C2C2015. So boring. Sorry! Doll take over. I know it isn’t awesome but my mind is blank(Comment suggestions) The girls are getting really mad at me for rambling so I’ll give it over to them. I hope you like the post:)

Nikki’s POV

Being the newest member of the family I was asked to start out this post. We [the dolls] will be showing you how we decorate for Christmas and giving you a run through of the posting schedule. So let’s start!!

Here is our tree. It’s silver and we decorated it with candy canes and green balls.

We like to add a tree skirt, and a decorative angel on top!

My sisters let me do the topper since I never have.

We also hung our stockings and changed the bed covers.

Here is the finished room. Well since I’ve been blabbing away, Jessica is going to take over and tell you about our posting schedule.

Cleaning, Chores, and Family Photos (An AGPS)

Here is a photo story I made a while back and have wanted to post and am just getting around to:) I know the quality isn’t that good, but I feel bad that I haven’t done a lot of posting. I will soon be starting my Christmas segment on this blog so look for that soon.

Bailey’s POV

We had just finished shooting the last part of Camp Summer. WHOO!! Bethany and I walked in the door of our house, only then did I notice how messy we had made it.

“FAMILY MEETING, NOW!” I called in my strictest voice.

Once everyone had clambered into the living room, I announced, “Guys, the house is a wreck. Mom will ground us for a year if she sees it. That is why I’ve come up with a plan!”

“This is our new chore chart, if everyone does three chores every day the house will be super clean.”

“Bethany, you have to make dinner and clean the house. Jessica, you need to take out the dogs, do the yard work, and set the table. Nikki, you need to vacuum, make lunch and do laundry. I will take out the trash, fold laundry, and wash the dishes. I suggest everyone start their chores,” after that I dismissed the meeting.

I guess I’d better start my chores so I will be done.

My first chore, to sort all of the laundry.

It was a lot of work, considering it hadn’t been fully cleaned and sorted since July!

“Wow! When was the last time this was washed?”

“Nikki! Here is the dirty laundry. Please do it tonight, we need some stuff in there for tomorrow.” I commanded her.

“Okay,” she replied not paying attention.

“Nikki, listen to me!”

“Huh, oh sorry! After having to play a boy in Camp Summer, I really need a break. Girls night!” she replied.

Nikki’s POV

Okay, I’d better start on this laundry.

Any way, since someone *coughs* Bailey deleted the footage the next picture we have is from this morning.

“OH NO! It’s already 7:30,” I yelled.

I have to make breakfast.

“Everyone get up! It’s 7:45 we’re gonna be late!”

“Take some food and run.” Jessica hollered.

10 minuets later…. 

Jessica’s POV

“Bye everybody!”

“Wait just a second, those aren’t the clothes mom picked out! Jessica, go change.” Bethany yelled to me.

“UGH! Fine. I will go change.” I replied.

When I walked into our bedroom I found Bailey sound asleep.

“BAILEY! You are still asleep. We have to leave in fifteen minuets!” I yelled.

*mumbles* “Fifteen minuets could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance….”

I know it was mean, but in order to wake her up I slapped her. She obviously was hallucinating…

“OWWW! Wait, we have to leave in fifteen minuets! My hair is going to take like twenty! I’d better go.” She said rushing.

She rushed by me and finished her hair in record time.

“Where are my clothes?” Bailey asked, extremely annoyed.

From the hall I heard Nikki demand, “Bethany, how are you almost ready?”

“Nikki, I’ve been doing it for a while, it’s called planning ahead,” she replied.

Bethany’s POV

“Hey, Bailey, have you seen my hair ties?” I asked.

I was done with my hair. Now all that had to be packed was my backpack. Then I could leave.

“There it is!”

I’m so glad it’s not my job to clean up this mess, I thought.

Okie-dokie, all done and ready to leave.

And with that I claimed first prize and headed out the door.

Jessica’s POV again

What is up with my bed? Mom will kill me if she sees it like this!

I still have some homework to do, I need to make my bed, and pack my school bag, I’ll NEVER finish!

This was what everyone was doing at 8:09 this morning. School starts at 8:30 but the bus leaves at 8:15 and it takes ten minuets to walk to school. We were in pretty big trouble!

Bed made, check.

Bag packed? Homework done? Check! Let’s leave.

“Bye everyone! I’ll see you at school, ” I yelled.

I wasn’t in first, but I had still beat the race against time with four minuets to spare!

Bailey’s POV

At least she was ready for the day…….

Let’s get these dishes done and get my contacts in!

I breathed a sigh of relief, it was only 8:15. I would make it to school on time and with that I hurried out the door.

Nikki’s POV

“Hi everyone! So, all my sisters are gone and I’m still here. It’s 8:20, school starts in ten minuets. I’m never going to live this down…”

“Why did I make such a big mess last night?!” I thought as I began to pick up what was left of my “girl’s night”

Our room was clean! Now for my ratty bed head.

I hastily attempted to style my hair.

Finally, I rushed out the door, at 8:25 am.

I arrived five minuets late to school and was tardy, but otherwise our morning shenanigans were a success. Mom was pleased with how clean the house was and we got the photo shoot in. Here are some pictures from that:
