Where do I See Myself in Ten Years?

{Featured image via}

Hi there! So a few weeks ago, Loren posted where she saw herself in ten years and I got inspired to do the same thing, so here it is. She got this post from Nabila, check out her original post here.

Where do you see yourself job-wise?

I’m not sure because I don’t have a firm idea of what I want to do as of now. I think I will probably be an intern since most of the positions I want I would need some experience with. I really like the fields of social work, counseling, teaching, and ministry. I’m not exactly sure which one I’ll chose but it will definitely be relating to kids.

Do you see yourself married?

I don’t think I’ll be married yet. I would like to get married but it all depends on what God’s will is. I wouldn’t say it is out of the question, but I don’t think I’d be ready to get married since I wouldn’t have a stable job.

Do you see yourself having kids?

No. I probably won’t be married by then so I won’t have kids, but even if I am married I don’t think I’d want kids immediately (since I probably won’t have been married for long). I love kids and definitely plan on having a few (at least!) but I think I’d wait a couple of years first.

What kind of house would you want to live in?

Honestly, I don’t care. I would rather live out in the suburbs or at least not in the city, but I would if I had to. I would like a roommate (especially my BFFL) but I could live alone too. I’m not very  picky, as long as it is clean and not in a bad area.

Where do you see yourself blog wise?

Misconceptions About College:

Well, honestly I don’t know. IF I continue using this blog for that long I know I’ll definitely change the URL. I love blogging but I don’t know if I’ll really have time for it being freshly out of college. We’ll have to wait ten years and find out 😀 Honestly I love blogging so much and I would hate not to be able to do it.

Do you see yourself having a pet?

Most likely yes. I love animals (especially dogs and cats) and feel protected having a dog around. I would really like an animal and the only reasons I wouldn’t have one was if I didn’t have enough money or if my apartment didn’t allow pets.

Do you see yourself having a car?

Yes. I’ll need a car to get me places. It won’t need to be a fancy one just something that works and doesn’t break often.

I hope you liked this tag! Feel free to leave your answers down below! Thank you so much to Nabila for creating this tag.

This is a fun tag, though I’m sure everything will be quite different in ten years. I have my own ideas, I know God has bigger and better journey for me. Even though I can’t see it now I know he has a plan and I can’t wait to follow it and see where it leads!

Photoshoot of Dilapidated Buildings

Two weekends ago, myself and a few friends went to a nearby abandon mill and took a  bunch of photos. It was extremely fun!

Don’t worry! We were allowed to be there. A few years ago the property was bought by the government and now they’ve been in the process of clearing some of it out and restoring what is left. It is so beautiful even though it’s dilapidated. I thought it would be fun to show you the pictures I got. I hope you like it!

I made a slide show for anyone who doesn’t want to read each individual pictures. It doesn’t go into details about the pictures though.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

This was the building we first took pictures at. I’m not quite sure what it used to be but now all that is left is a brick wall.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here are a lot of bricks that are falling apart, loose and crumbling.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

I’m guessing this is a boarded up window. It has vines all over it.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

I think it is cool that you can see the sun shining through in this picture.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here is a close up of the wall. I think it looks so pretty and jagged.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here is another shot with my friend posing for another picture in the background.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here is a picture of one of the open doorways in the brick wall.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

My friend posing in the doorway.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

The side of the door way had a rusted little hook which I thought looked very photogenic 😀 .

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here is the arch over the door way which has some crushed bricks and weeds in it.

The next spot we went was to the mill.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

This is part of the mill. Although it is falling apart it still looks beautiful. The other pasts have been torn down.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here is up close. I love the aqua pop that is on the building. I doubt they added that on purpose but it is really cool and adds a nice touch to pictures!

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

This is what the inside looked like. It wouldn’t be safe to go in the building since it is falling apart so I don’t have any pictures of inside.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

This I found interesting. Sitting on the ground, is an old fire extinguisher with lots of layers of dust covering it. I wonder how long this has been there.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here is a window with missing panes of glass.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

I’m not sure what that thing is called but it is old and rusted and made a good picture.

The following pictures are all edited except for one special picture.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

I found this super cool edit on Picmonkey where you can make parts of the picture back and white but give other parts the original coloring. I used this a lot!

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

This picture is of a broken window.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here are some metal stakes sticking out of a rock.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Here is my outfit. I muted some parts to make them super dark so the natural color really stands out. My cami and flannel are from Forever 21. The jeans are from a brand called Ana. My boots are UGGS.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

This is the first picture I showed earlier but edited.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

I have this edited pictures where almost everything is black and white expect my friend and a rusted stake.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Lastly, there is this picture I snapped of my friend. I DID NOT edit it. I think it looks so cool because I caught it right when the sun was behind her.

Let me know which picture was your favorite! Do you ever go take photo shoots?

See ya soon 🙂

This may be strange….. but recently I’ve really been loving tuna fish salad sandwiches 😀

{Posts Of Old #1}

You know how many people have been doing these posts? I love them!! So I thought I’d show you a post I wrote in October of 2014. (Excuse the blurry pictures. We can all see my improvements.) Feel free to leave a comment on that post and tell me if you try out the hairstyle. (Here is a link back to the original post) Let’s get started.

Hi! Here is a fishtail braids tutorial that was requested by DOLLDIYs (Now Flourishing by Restful falls) and I have wanted to do for a while but haven’t had the chance. By the way some of the pictures might be blurry, gritty or of different quality’s because my camera has been doing weird thing. Anyways(,) Enjoy!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

You will need: a spray bottle, a doll hair brush, two elastics (certain styles will require more) and a toothbrush

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

First split the dolls hair in half. You might want to tie back the one side in a low pony tail so that the other hair doesn’t get in the way.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Next split that hair into two sections but don’t tie it off.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Take a small section from the very front of the outer side and cross it to the inner section then take the most inner section from the inner side and cross it over. This works best if you do it tiny and tight.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Keep doing this till you get to the end of the hair.

Tie off with an elastic or scrunci at the bottom and repeat on the other side.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Some variations are: add a braid to one piece, stop at the ear with braid for a cool look or a single fishtail down the back.

Here are photos of Bethany in her finished look.

New Series Idea and News

Hi guys! I have a new series idea! It is called Not Just Sisters. I don’t know when I will start it because in the up coming weeks I will be SUPER busy. I am also trying to do my room tour and a hair style tutorial. PLUS I thought about doing a Halloween post or a doll bday video because my doll birthdays are coming up. So this is a really random post but please comment which of these ideas I should do.

Rebekah:)
