My brain is. unicorns… Yup, this is me Jessica (the one in the cute pink shirt) when I’m attempting to wake up in the morning. Until I drink about two cups of water, I can’t function and my brain is basically full of unicorns. And candy. Lots and lots of candy.
*This is my sister Bailey, she is the brainiac of the family and also gets crazy bed head*
“Good morning everybody,” Bailey said yawning, “Does anybody know what day it is today?”
All of a sudden, my newest sister Brooklyn, ran into the room shouting, “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!” We all stood there in silence until my Twin said,
“It Febuary 2nd….. Valentine’s day is two weeks away. Today is just an average Tuesday.”
“Incorrect!” I said, “It’s actually, drum roll please, Groundhog day!”
“Oh, I knew that!”
I inetrrputed her, “Groundhog Day is something we do on Febuary 2nd. The folklore is that if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, then spring will come early. If it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter weather will continue for another month and a half.” Info via
“Wow, that’s cool Jessica, but if you keep blabbing we are going to be late.”
“At school they decided we needed to do the whole traditional groundhog ceremony.”
Isn’t he adorable? He really liked all the attention he got. He ended up seeing his shadow so… I guess we have six more weeks of winter.
Did you like my commentary (which included unicorns and candy)? If you did comment below. If this post gets good veiws maybe mom will let me do another post. I hope everybody had an amazing day.
Happy Groundhog Day!
P.S. Mom also wanted me to include this picture for Megan’s BIBPC (boring into beautiful photo challenge)
Mom took this right after we got a lot of snow. It rained yesterday, washing a lot of it away:( Doesn’t the house look so cozy?
*I changed the principal from a boy to a girl, sorry if that’s confusing*
“Hello girls,” said a calm cool voice.
“Hi, Principle Fletcher,” we all chorused.
My best friend Aisha and I had just been called into the principal’s office, along with our archenemies, Britney and Leia. I used to be best friends with them, but that’s a different story.
I tried to tune back in to Ms. Fletcher, “Girls, we won’t have any cat fights going on at this school. We need you to settle this little dispute. If I hear of any more bad behavior from any of you, I’ll be considering suspension.”
I shot Aisha a quick glance. If she got suspended she wouldn’t be able to stay here! The foster system would send her somewhere else. This wasn’t good.
“Sorry Principal,” Britney said sweetly.
“We can work things out. I’m very sorry,” I exclaimed.
Still in Novia’s POV
Click. Click. “Done! I finished another application paper.” Jake announced.
We were going through Jake’s old school files. He was weird and kept every single file and school paper he had ever completed! Instead of getting free college from Dad’s work Jake would just get enough scholarships so dad won’t have to change jobs.
“LOOK! You have got an F?”
“That won’t help the applications Jake,” Novia said concerned.
“It’s fine. It was a long time ago. Do you think Ryan is almost done with his assignment for our plan?” Jake questioned.
Ryan’s POV
“Mom, Dad, can I talk to you about something?” I asked.
“Sure son, what is this about?” Dad responded.
“Well I was just wondering, about Aisha.”
Novia’s POV
“Kids, we need to talk.” My father said, “I’ve gotten news back from my boss and…..”
—————————————————————-
Cliffhanger! Whew, it’s done. I have a multitude (I felt like using strong verbs, LOL) of posts coming up, look forward to them. I’m gonna start writing my part for Word Crafters now. See you soon *waves hand*
“Hey Aisha, what’s up? You’re not looking very happy,” said Ryan.
He was right. In my mind, all I could think about was those mean girls and wonder why they didn’t like me.
“Ryan, can I ask you a question? When you first moved in, did you feel accepted?” I asked.
“Yes, they loved me and cared about me, unlike anyone else. They stuck by me, even when I made mistakes and wasn’t the nicest.” he replied.
“What about with other kids?” I asked.
“I had my share of fights and problems with other kids, but eventually I got over it.” He said with a laugh.
“Thanks for the advice Ryan. I’ve always wanted a big brother, maybe I’ll finally get my wish.”
I got up and walked to my room. I hadn’t even tried to use our plan, but in turn I had. Novia and I were just one step closer to our goal.
Two Days Later…
Novia and I were walking through the dark, dim halls on our way to chemistry class. It was gloomy outside and I think everyone inside was having a bad day. I knew I was, first I spilled a bowl of cereal on my new pants, then we had a pop quiz in history, and now we had to go to Chem.
“Hey losers, whatcha doing?” sneered Karen.
Ugh, I really disliked mean girls, “Hi Karen,” I said sweetly, “We were just heading to chemistry. What about you?”
“Oh, you’re in Chemistry? That’s to bad, because I am too. Hopefully I don’t have to sit next to you two.”
“HEY! What’s going on here?” Jake demanded.
I looked up and saw Jake glaring at Karen, with him was Ryan.
Karen stuttered, “I was just talking to your sisters about how awesome it was that we are in the same class.”
“Bye Karen,” I said loudly.
“Sorry about that, some kids are just jerks,” said Ryan.
“See you after school. We have to run. We’re gonna be late!” I said hurriedly.
Novia’s POV
“I now call this meeting to order,” I announced, “Aisha, I know this is an unplanned meeting, but there is something important that we must discuss.”
“We decided at our last meeting to meet in a week to decide if our subjects have passed the test, but I think after what we saw today that we should vote now! How do you feel Aisha?”
“I agree. All in favor of inviting Jake and Ryan to our plan says ‘I'” Aisha proclaimed.
“I!” she said.
“I! Let’s bring them in,” I said.
“Ryan, Jake, you can come in now!” she called.
“I feel like I’m in court or something,” Ryan joked.
I cleared my throat, “Boys, we need to tell you something top-secret. We might have lied to you a few times, sorry, but that’s only because of what we are about to tell you.”
Then Aisha said, “We recently found out that Novia and Jake’s dad has been working more and is grieving deeply. I am also trying to get adopted. So, Novia and I have concocted a plan. We would like you two to be involved, but only if you promise not to tell anyone.”
“HA,” said Ryan “I told you they were up to something.”
“So you were right…” muttered Josh.
“BOYS, are you going to help us or not?”
“I’m in,” said Josh.
“I’m game,” Ryan said.
“I’m ready to do this.” said Aisha.
I looked at each of them and then placed my hand on top and said, “Thank you so much, all three of you. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, so we better get started!”

I hope you had fun reading this post. Don’t forget to check out my new collab blog, A Grand Glimpse. I better start writing part four of this series!
Here is my picture for BIBPC, the category is food. This is a picture of a fruit smiley face breakfast that my little brother made for me:)
HI everyone! So if you read my last doll related post, you might know that I got a new doll! I also mentioned I got some accessories as well. I’m going to be showing you and reviewing what I got. If you have no clue what I’m talking about you can click here. I also just want to mention that I’m not trying to brag in any way:D So after an insanely long intro, let’s get into it.
———————————————————-
Here she is, my new doll! Her name is officially Brooklyn, I haven’t thought of a middle name yet. (comment suggestions;)
She is an 18″ doll and she did come with the My American Girl outfit that was retired in May. I didn’t review that because I’m lazy:)
She has a steep side part, and her hair comes all the way to her hips.
It’s dark brown and wavy. She is a second-hand doll so her hair isn’t perfect but, it doesn’t matter to me:D
Here is a hair color compared to #59.
She has the standard face mold, captivating hazel eyes, feathered eyebrows, and freckles.
Overall, I would completely recommend her but her hair is wavy as opposed to curly, so when styling the curls do let out quicker. She is gorgeous and so fun to photograph.
Next is her dog Pepper. Here is a size profile.
He is a husky puppy, with a hard plastic body, with a fuzzy exterior, he has blue beaded eyes.
*Side view*
The only problem I have is the GIGANTIC tag sticking out.
Here is the collar it matches his eyes and says Pepper. I wish AG hadn’t retired his collection, I don’t really like the new pets as much. If you can find pepper on eBay, get him. He is adorable and he turns out very good on camera.
Next are Julie’s PJs, when I got them my friend forgot to give me the pants and one shoe, so I won’t be reviewing those parts of the outfit.
I LOVE the colors used and the little butterflies!
A cute little pink bow! I like these so much more than Julie’s new pajamas.
And the little embroidered butterflies on the shoes–I love this set so much!
My friend also gave me these purple glasses. They are really cute and they are two-toned.
You can still buy them from AG. They come with a felt case(not shown)
Next are these heart earring. They are a part of the Fancy Earrings set. This pair of dangles are sold with silver studs not hearts. (studs not shown)
The blue dangles are my favorite earrings. They look amazing on Brooklyn. The third pair of earrings in this set, I forgot to take pictures of. This set is still available for purchase at AG.
Next is the 2012 Holiday dress. I’ve never bought one of these dresses before and was so excited to receive it! (It’s retried)
It comes with a diamond studded headband and with an extremely long tag. (AG why?)
Here are the red sparkly shoes, they have a glossy finish.
I really like the detailed red sash.
The dress is a mesh like material and the inside design under the mesh is red with gold detailing.
There is also a rose on the left sleeve which I don’t like as much:(
The back velcros almost all the way down.
The flute is so cute, but is very hard for the doll to hold, because it is so heavy. This set is still available to buy.
The case is black with red velvet on the inside and is fitted perfectly for the flute. (The tag is horrible!)
Here is the top of the stand. It comes with a laminated fingering chart.
It also includes with a lesson book.
(sorry for the blurriness) This is the bottom of the stand.
Next up, the sugar and spice baking set. I love this set and I totally recommend it! The first item in the set is the little chocolates. They are stuck to the plate, but I don’t mind this as much as I thought I would.
The bottom looks like a real plate. By the way, this set is retired but can still be bought on eBay.
Next are the three little jars of sprinkles. They look so realistic.
Here is the ginger bread platter, it is nice but big and clunky for storing.
Here is the bottom, other side note, I’m missing the bowl of gum drops from this set.

Here is a collage of all the sides of the gingerbread house its adorable and very well made:D It is very intricately detailed.
This is so cute!! I love it, the material of the icing bag is a very weird consistently but not in a bad way you may be able to guess this but, I hate the tag!
The candy canes come in a realistic looking box, but are a big hunk of plastic if you take them out. But it is still really cute.
Here is the front of the apron, it is a red fabric, with red velvet trim, faux fur at the bottom and an embroidered snowflake in the corner.
It velcros in the back.
Super cute and festive hat! No complaints.
Last is the retired ice slating outfit. I have wanted this for so long!!
Just to let you know, I am missing the skate guards and stretchy pants from this set.
Here is the leotard, I love the color and material, it could also pass as a bathing suit.
Here is the skirt. It has the same design and fabric. It is a lot like the style of a skater skirt.
Here is the knit, gray sweater. It ties and velcros at the side.
It comes with two sets of velcro.
Here are the precious little skates. I like the silver laces (they can’t be tied but are elastic)
Last, the smart charm. I’m so glad I was given this set and can’t wait to use it, if it ever snows!
———————————————————-
Don’t forget to vote on my poll for the winter series(I’ll be posting the winner on Tuesday and they are pretty close. Vote for Forever Family!) I can’t wait to use these new things in posts!! Talk you all soon!
I wasn’t ready to go inside yet, so sat down outside the house.
Would this new family like me?
Bethany’s POV
We were all gathered, baking ginger bread houses and wrapping presents for my mom.
“I’ll be back, I’m going out for some fresh air.” I announced.
It was so beautiful outside, but I was really hoping for snow.
(does anyone else really want snow;)
What was that? I saw a small grey, furry dot and a hand sticking out from behind the lone tree in our yard.
I walked closer and saw a girl with wavy, dark hair and freckles. Next to her was a cute husky puppy.
“Uh, Hi!” I said.
She looked startled, “Oh, Hi. Sorry. I should probably have come inside.”
“That’s okay. This might sound rude, but who are you?” I asked.
“My name is Brooklyn and I’m coming to stay with you for a while,” Brooklyn said.
“It’s nice to meet you! Would you like to come in and meet my sisters?”
“Sure,”she said reluctantly.
Brooklyn’s POV
“Guys! Hey I want to introduce you to someone very special, ” Bethany announced, “This is Brooklyn.“
“Hi,” I said,”As Bethany told you my name is Brooklyn and your mom is having me stay with you for a little while.”
“Awesome!” a girl with short brown hair said.
A girl with curly red hair introduced herself, “It’s nice to meet you. I’m Bailey and I’m fourteen.”
“I am too,” I managed to mumble.
“Brooklyn plays the flute and she has a dog named Pepper!” Bethany filled in for me.
“Hey! could you play a few songs for us?” Asked a freckled-faced girl.
“Sure, lemme go get my flute!” I chimed.
I took a deep breath and began to play my all time favorite tunes, Let it Go, Amazing Grace, and Roar. They were all amazed (apparently no one is musically talented in this family)
After I played for a bit, the girls went back to baking and I joined them. Pepper seemed to be enjoying Sugar’s company and I was having a blast. Maybe I would grow to like it here……
———————————————————-
YES. I GOT A NEW DOLL! (you can see I’m super excited) She is #55 and Beautiful. Shout out to my friend Shanti! This was her doll, but she isn’t really into dolls and so she gave her to me:D She also gave me a bunch of clothes and accessories. Look for a review coming soon! That’s it for today.
The girls will be sharing with you their Christmas Wish list in a minuet, but a quick disclaimer, this is not actually what I want/expect to get. It’s just a fake list based on the girls personalities:) Anyway, enjoy!
—————————————————-
Bailey’s List:
Hi! Here is my Christmas Wish list!
Mini Maryellen! She is so adorable and the closet doll to my look-alike. I would LOVE to get her.
Birth Stone earrings, unlike my sisters I don’t really like all the crazy dangles, I’d much rather some simple, but colorful earrings.
The Shimmer and Lace party dress is so pretty and it’s even modeled by a girl who looks just like me!
I want the Petals and Plaid PJs so badly. They didn’t have any pictures of just the doll in the outfit. I don’t know why!
That’s everything on my list! I hope I get some of it.
Bethany’s List:
GUYS! I’m so excited for Christmas, here’s my list!
If I get these, I’ll be satisfied with not getting anything else for Christmas!
I hope to get these PJs, I will totally live in those shorts.
I’ve always wanted a curling iron, I would really like curls!
If she’s going to retire I need her now.
Grace’s meet outfit, boots are bae!
The Gorgeous Gold outfit, I’ve always wanted a fancy dress, to sit at mirror and sing sad songs in…. That’s not weird, is it?
What did you think? I can’t wait to open them all up on Christmas!
Nikki’s List:
HO,HO, I mean Hi! Are you excited to see my list?
The first thing I want is the leggings and socks set, my sisters are always losing our’s and I’d like to have some of my own.
Sparkly Toms? Count me in! They look so comfy and would provide a great fashion statement.
I’ve had my eye on this purse since it came out. Please Mom, Please!
I would wear this beanie with the sneakers, so trendy!
Warm Winter outfit and accessories, finally, a purple and orange combo!
I know my list is a bit long but I couldn’t decide. Too many nice things.
What did you think? What do you want for Christmas?
Jessica’s List:
I only want a few things. So let me show you.
EVERYONE has these (at leat people who are cool do) and I totally need a pair.
All the tennis shoes we have are pink and sparkly, I need something not so girly, like these striped tennis shoes!
The big item I want is the sports bench! It has a bunch of AWESOME sports equipment and mom will buy it because she’s been looking for a bench for the mud room.
These PJs are retired but they are so cozy looking I just have to get them.
I think I’ll get everything on my list because I’m not asking for that much!
———————————————————-
What did you think of our lists? My sisters and I had so much fun writing them, I think Bethany and Nikki went overboard a little bit with what they asked for, but my list is perfect!
Here is a photo story I made a while back and have wanted to post and am just getting around to:) I know the quality isn’t that good, but I feel bad that I haven’t done a lot of posting. I will soon be starting my Christmas segment on this blog so look for that soon.

Bailey’s POV
We had just finished shooting the last part of Camp Summer. WHOO!! Bethany and I walked in the door of our house, only then did I notice how messy we had made it.
“FAMILY MEETING, NOW!” I called in my strictest voice.
Once everyone had clambered into the living room, I announced, “Guys, the house is a wreck. Mom will ground us for a year if she sees it. That is why I’ve come up with a plan!”
“This is our new chore chart, if everyone does three chores every day the house will be super clean.”
“Bethany, you have to make dinner and clean the house. Jessica, you need to take out the dogs, do the yard work, and set the table. Nikki, you need to vacuum, make lunch and do laundry. I will take out the trash, fold laundry, and wash the dishes. I suggest everyone start their chores,” after that I dismissed the meeting.
I guess I’d better start my chores so I will be done.
My first chore, to sort all of the laundry.
It was a lot of work, considering it hadn’t been fully cleaned and sorted since July!
“Wow! When was the last time this was washed?”
“Nikki! Here is the dirty laundry. Please do it tonight, we need some stuff in there for tomorrow.” I commanded her.
“Okay,” she replied not paying attention.
“Nikki, listen to me!”
“Huh, oh sorry! After having to play a boy in Camp Summer, I really need a break. Girls night!” she replied.
Nikki’s POV
Okay, I’d better start on this laundry.
(Some of the pictures were deleted sorry)
Any way, since someone *coughs* Bailey deleted the footage the next picture we have is from this morning.
“OH NO! It’s already 7:30,” I yelled.
I have to make breakfast.
“Everyone get up! It’s 7:45 we’re gonna be late!”
“Take some food and run.” Jessica hollered.
10 minuets later….
Jessica’s POV
“Bye everybody!”
“Wait just a second, those aren’t the clothes mom picked out! Jessica, go change.” Bethany yelled to me.
“UGH! Fine. I will go change.” I replied.
When I walked into our bedroom I found Bailey sound asleep.
“BAILEY! You are still asleep. We have to leave in fifteen minuets!” I yelled.
*mumbles* “Fifteen minuets could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance….”
I know it was mean, but in order to wake her up I slapped her. She obviously was hallucinating…
“OWWW! Wait, we have to leave in fifteen minuets! My hair is going to take like twenty! I’d better go.” She said rushing.
She rushed by me and finished her hair in record time.
“Where are my clothes?” Bailey asked, extremely annoyed.
From the hall I heard Nikki demand, “Bethany, how are you almost ready?”
“Nikki, I’ve been doing it for a while, it’s called planning ahead,” she replied.
Bethany’s POV
“Hey, Bailey, have you seen my hair ties?” I asked.
I was done with my hair. Now all that had to be packed was my backpack. Then I could leave.
“There it is!”
I’m so glad it’s not my job to clean up this mess, I thought.
Okie-dokie, all done and ready to leave.
And with that I claimed first prize and headed out the door.
Jessica’s POV again
What is up with my bed? Mom will kill me if she sees it like this!
I still have some homework to do, I need to make my bed, and pack my school bag, I’ll NEVER finish!
This was what everyone was doing at 8:09 this morning. School starts at 8:30 but the bus leaves at 8:15 and it takes ten minuets to walk to school. We were in pretty big trouble!
Bed made, check.
(Sorry that this pictures so big the computer is doing weird stuff)
Bag packed? Homework done? Check! Let’s leave.
“Bye everyone! I’ll see you at school, ” I yelled.
I wasn’t in first, but I had still beat the race against time with four minuets to spare!
Bailey’s POV
At least she was ready for the day…….
Let’s get these dishes done and get my contacts in!
I breathed a sigh of relief, it was only 8:15. I would make it to school on time and with that I hurried out the door.
Nikki’s POV
“Hi everyone! So, all my sisters are gone and I’m still here. It’s 8:20, school starts in ten minuets. I’m never going to live this down…”
“Why did I make such a big mess last night?!” I thought as I began to pick up what was left of my “girl’s night”
Our room was clean! Now for my ratty bed head.
I hastily attempted to style my hair.
Finally, I rushed out the door, at 8:25 am.
I arrived five minuets late to school and was tardy, but otherwise our morning shenanigans were a success. Mom was pleased with how clean the house was and we got the photo shoot in. Here are some pictures from that:
——————————————————————————————————————–
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your Thanksgiving break! Tell me what you think in the comments:)
Okay, let me start by saying, I know I should have posted this sooner, sorry. Wow that sentence had way to many commas! Secondly, If you have been considering sending your doll in to the doll hospital you totally should. I was very pleased and impressed, though American girl has lots of faults, this area is not one of them. I was completely satisfied!
——————————————————————————————————————–
IT’S HERE! EPPPPP!!!! I had just gotten back from a weekend at my grandparent’s house when I found the package at my door step.
(It was extremely hard to get her out of the box:D)
The box is so cute!
Here she is!
Let’s get her out!
Here is the empty box.
Before~
After:
Now onto what she cane with:
These cute white socks with hearts on the side. I love them so much!
A Get Well Card with a message on the inside.
A certificate of good health.
A hospital bracelet.
A hospital Gown, It is white with pink designs, including band aids, flowers, and butterflys. On the top left it says American Girl Hospital.
Here are some extra pictures of her:
One of my Favs.
Nikki looks so adorable and I love her!
The most adorable pigtails ever!
Little pink bows!
Silky, smooth hair!
A family picture, why aren’t they all looking?! 😀
——————————————————————————————————————–
I would definitely recommend that if you have an older doll or one you used when you were younger you do this. It was completely worth it and AG pleasantly surprised me. It took a while before they sent me the email saying she had been admitted to the hospital, but after that she was back by that weekend. Sorry that I’m finally getting around to posting this… but thanks for reading!
Updates….. (I am being sarcastic, about the title, just saying;) I wanted to let you know some things going on in the blogging community and just some things about posting.

Blogging:
I will be finishing up Camp Summer sometime in September, I’m not sure when though. I will give more info about it when I know. BTW, there are three more episodes. After Camp Summer, I will start doing normal posts again. I am going to post about Nikki’s trip to the hospital three months ago and then I made a poll on what posts you think I should do after that. I want your feed back.
Thank you for putting up with me. You are the best:) Here are some bonus pictures from when I went to my grandparent’s house. I think that’s it for now.
Today I’ll be answering the questions for Beautiful People. Every month Further Up and Further In writes ten questions out on her blog. Then whoever wants to can post their answers to them. This is to add more depth to characters, but if you can do it about your dolls personalities. I’m writting mine about my doll Nikki.
1. What’s their favorite ice cream flavor?
Strawberry Cheese Cake
2. Your character is getting ready for a night out. Where are they going? What are they wearing? Who will they be with?
She’d be going out to eat at a sit down restaurant with Bethany and some girl friends. She would be wearing a floral skirt with a cute top.
3. Look at your character’s feet. Describe what you see there. Do they wear dress shoes, gym shoes, or none at all? Are they in socks that are ratty and full of holes? What do they consider comfortable and what do they consider agony?
Pink converse, with green laces. She is wearing hot pink ankle socks with musical notes on them.
4. Do they have any birthmark or scars? Where are they and how did they get them? She has a big birthmark on her chin, but as she is getting older it is starting to fade. She also has a scar on her leg from a scooter accident.
5. What kind of music do they listen to? Does it change depending on their mood or is it always consistent? (Feel free to share samples!)
8. How would they spend their summers (or their holidays)?
You would find her watching you tube videos, spending time with family and making seasonal DIYS.
9. It’s Saturday at noon. What is your character doing? Give details. Ex. If they’re eating breakfast, what’s on the menu? Are they hiking, shopping, lazing around?
She is filming a YouTube video. By noon she’s ready for the day and is ready to film! Right now she’s working on an outfit look-book with her sisters.
10. Is there anything your character wants to be free of?
She doesn’t want people to know that she’s adopted.
That’s all for this post. I am so excited, time trails for swim championships are tonight. If you don’t do swim team, Time trails are where all the kids your age compete and the top 20 or something swimmers move on to championships. Swim team is so fun! I’m swimming Medley relay freestyle leg, Backstroke, and 100 IM. I don’t know why I just told you all about swim team, maybe it’s because I’m psyched for tonight or sad because the seasons over. I’m really happy because our team was undefeated this season!!! YAY! Ok, I should probably stop rambling and end this post. Bye:D
